Trimming your guinea pigs nails is an important grooming task. When you don’t clip your guinea pigs nails, they can end up growing too long, which can cause problems. Longer guinea nails also make it harder for guinea pigs to walk around comfortably. When your guinea pigs nails hit the floor constantly as he/she walks, this can put more pressure on the nail bed. This pressure can cause discomfort. 

A good boar cleaning routine helps to maintain a healthy male guinea pig's lifestyle. A typical boar cleaning includes checking and removing any dirt or buildups of the genitals, bum and a grease gland.
